Nevada City is game for 2-4 players set in Old West.
Each player represents a founding family, determined to shape the town’s growth in the 1800’s. The players will need to produce and sell resources and hire workers in order to build the businesses that will meet the needs of the growing town.
But life in the old west is fraught with uncertainty. Hardships awaiting the founding families include the arrival of dangerous travelers, drought, and fire.
The player who best overcomes these challenges becomes the new mayor of Nevada City.

- Selling Commodities – Clarification: The bonus paid is for each commodity sold. For example, if the price is Market Value + $2 and two units are allowed to be sold, you would earn MV +$2 for EACH UNIT sold.
- Newspaper: The rules refer to a $1 fee for using the building in addition to the costs paid. The $1 fee is missing from the card. The rules are correct.
- Setup – Step 3: Initial building setup refers to placing the building cards “construction” side up. This is incorrect. There is no construction side on the initial building cards. This should be changed to read “face up.”
- Setup – Step 15 c – In a 2-player game, there will be four extra goal cards after the initial distribution, not three.
- Setup – Step 13 d – This should say “Production” chart not “Market Value” chart.
- Advanced Rules – the colors of the cubes included in the game do not match the colors shown. The neutral cubes should be shown as white instead of gray. The silver cubes are actually gray.
- Event Card: Postal Strike – Clarification: Contract Cards are refilled at the start of the next game year.
- Event Card: Overbooked – Clarification: Hiring Costs are considered to be both the cost of the hotel and the salary paid to the worker.
- Building Card: Doctor – Clarification: Doctor can also “heal” lost actions caused by events like Bad Booze, Bad Marmalade and Bar Fight.
- Advanced Rules – Buildings – Undertaker: The description should read: “Each time a Troublemaker or Renegade dies as the result of a gunfight, the player who owns the Undertaker is paid $4.”
